Dr. Robert Shenker and his clinic team establish the Cosmetic Surgery Clinic of Waterloo Achievement Scholarship

The Cosmetic Surgery Clinic of Waterloo has been a part of the local community for 35 years. Several high performing Laurier students have worked or volunteered at the Clinic over the years, particularly students from the Health Sciences program. In recognition of these outstanding students, the Clinic team and Dr. Robert Shenker have established the Cosmetic Surgery Clinic of Waterloo Achievement Scholarship to recognize the academic excellence and volunteer work done by Laurier’s students. Some of these students have gone on to medical school, and other careers in health care. These are the bright young minds who will care for our community in the years to come.

The award was created by Dr. Robert Shenker and the team at The Cosmetic Surgery Clinic who have a passion for helping people – a passion they pursue as one of the leading plastic surgery clinics in Ontario.
Eligible candidates are full-time undergraduate students in Years 3 or 4 of the Honours BSc Health Sciences program with a high GPA and who are involved in significant volunteer activities that provide a service to their community.

“We are extremely fortunate in the Department of Health Sciences to work with top-tier students who will go on to make their mark in the healthcare sector. This award will assist our students in achieving their dreams. As such, we are very grateful to Dr. Shenker for his support and generosity!” – Robb Travers, Professor and Chair, Department of Health Sciences
