This Giving Tuesday, you can help Laurier students get to graduation

#GivingTuesday is a day for giving back and investing in the future.

This year, the Laurier community is coming together to support students as they struggle with inflation and the rapidly rising costs of housing and groceries.

“Right now, bursaries are the single most effective way you can help a Laurier student in financial need,” says Laurier Dean of Students Adam Lawrence. “Maybe you’ve read the news that the number of students accessing Food Banks has more than doubled in Waterloo Region. Even with the Mini-Market and food security initiatives, it gets harder every year to cover the costs of housing, tuition and groceries.”

Donor support is crucial for Laurier students – and this Giving Tuesday all gifts to general bursaries at Laurier will have double the impact!

“A donor-supported bursary not only means financial support for me, but it tells me that my hard work is recognized and is paying off,” says Jiayi, a Laurier student who benefitted from a bursary this year.

Your gift to general student bursaries today will go twice as far, and will directly benefit Laurier students in financial need.

This Giving Tuesday, your support will give Laurier students the strength they need to get to graduation.
