Second annual Golden Hawks Giving Challenge raises over $84,000 for Varsity Athletes

On April 2, more than 745 donors took the challenge and helped raise over $84,000 to benefit Laurier student-athletes.

Funds raised will help with game-changing resources like enhanced facilities, investing in coaching staff and upgraded equipment.

Women’s Soccer: Top Dollar Value

For the second year in a row, the Women’s Soccer team has come out on top! This year, the team raised more than $14,700 from 63 unique donors and surpassed their donor goal by 242%.

With this win, Women’s Soccer has unlocked an additional $1,500 in one-time funding for their team!

Men’s Rugby: Top Donor Count

Men’s Rugby has entered the game! Raising more than $9,000 from 186 unique donors, they surpassed their donor goal by 433% this year.

Men’s Rugby also unlocked an additional $2,500 in one-time funding as they take home both Most Improved Challenge awards, exceeding their 2024 dollars raised by 182% and increasing donor count by an impressive 1080%!
