Laurier is a truly special place
My experience at Laurier was incredible. It was more than just a degree for me. I was a Residence Life Don and, in my final year, I was honoured to be elected president of the Students’ Union. I made lifelong friends, and most importantly, Laurier is where I met my wife, Alysha. Right after graduation, I got started in the career I’m still thriving in today.
Laurier is truly a special place and I owe it a lot. That’s why I volunteered on the WLUAA board for five years and currently serve as president. And it’s why I made a legacy gift to Laurier.
A decade ago, I set up a gift of life insurance. For a small, tax-deductible monthly contribution, I will be able to ensure that after I am gone, future Laurier students will have the same exceptional student experience I did.
In this newsletter, you’ll read great stories of other Laurier legacy donors. You’ll also read the stories of grateful Laurier students who benefited from legacy gifts. I really enjoyed reading these stories and thinking about the circle of giving that is the Laurier community. We support each other and in so doing, we create memorable experiences and build lasting success for our alumni. I’m glad to be a part of a community like this, and I’m glad you’re a part of it, too!
